But decided to take a chance and buy it for my living room. SO GLAD I DID. This is an amazing looking ceiling fan. The paddles look like a very nice barn look on one side and a little solid and darker on the other. Barn look was perfect for my room. The lights are bright and decorative. Of course the added feature is the remote. I am seriously thinking of buying another fan as I have the open concept from living room and kitchen dining area. No regrets with this purchase. I bought it for the look and the fact that it had its own remote. It's even better then I imagined. It was easy to put up, very quiet, and comes with some cool features. It has an away feature that flicks the lights on every or so to fake being home, dimmable lights, and a cool "real wind" feature that changes the speed of the fan randomly.
